We, at KANÖE, see multiple possibilities for innovative furniture designs that embrace the mythology and wisdom represented
by bamboo.
A KANÖE is a perfect balance of craft and nature, integrating the ingenuity of the human spirit with the integrity of
a single piece of bamboo. More than a hammock or bed, combining an art form and a work of nature, a KANÖE`s unique shape responds
to the natural forces inherent in the structure of the bamboo, and yet moulds itself to the body of its user.
Each KANÖE is crafted from a single length of bamboo by working with the living energies of the bamboo and fashioning
a shape in harmony with its growing conditions. Constructed to the highest quality-control standards, production is highly
labor intensive and requires the coordinated effort of six skilled craftsmen, working together over the course of a single
day while the bamboo dries through its optimal workable flexibility.
